All Feelings WelcomeIn a hotel, every guest has a place to stay. In this feelings group, children learn to welcome their feelings, each with a room in their very own heart hotel. No feeling gets left in the lobby.
A 6-week after-school skills group with Elaine M. Romero, LMFT, a child therapist for over 30 years. Through stories, games, art and play, children learn what to do when BIG feelings check in. This group is open to Rancho Christian Elementary students only.
What children will learn
- Recognize and name their emotions
- “Check in” with what they’re feeling
- Learn that feelings are messengers
- Build tools for calming big emotions
- Make room for ALL feelings, so no one feeling runs the hotel
- Grow confidence and self-awareness
